It starts off fun and then drops to almost nothing-one guitar, one set of vocals, and one bass drum. I like this song because it's all over the place. This just made Christmas a little more merry. I've played this at least seven times in the time it's taken me to finish this post. That's kind of the point-you can hear the vulnerability with the dynamics and the way he sings. You can't say that this is the best singing anyone has ever heard. And the style of the vocals just gets me. It's just a clean vocal with a piano and it's beautiful. Now "Truce" has even less lyrics than "House of Gold." It's not as upbeat. It's an upbeat and fun song, especially since it has something as sweet sounding as the ukulele. Just plain genius.Īnd "House of Gold" was the last thing they released before "Truce." It's much simpler compared to "Holding on to You." Click on the description box and you won't see as many lyrics. I mean, if you listen to something like "Holding on to You" you'll hear plenty of different elements and layers-raps and melodies and variations in percussion and so many changes. I did start really listening to Twenty One Pilots recently, so I figured this would be good. I saw this in my subscriptions feed, and I figured it was worth listening to.
